Biography
Annie Bame is committed to advocating for individuals and families who have suffered financial harm because of complex insurance products that were improperly sold or managed. Her practice focuses on complex insurance litigation, with a particular emphasis on indexed universal life (IUL) insurance cases. She pursues financial recovery for individuals deceived into purchasing these policies in disputes involving misrepresentation and unsuitable sales practices, working to hold insurance companies and financial professionals accountable for deceptive or abusive conduct. Through both individual and broader litigation efforts, Annie seeks to promote transparency and fairness in the life insurance marketplace.
Annie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she served on the Editorial Board for the South Carolina Law Review. Annie began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for two federal district court judges, the Honorable J. Michelle Childs and the Honorable Joseph F. Anderson, Jr.
Prior to joining RP Legal’s IUL team, Annie practiced employment law and civil rights litigation at another South Carolina law firm. Annie is actively involved in the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, serving as a Board Member since 2024.
